What's in a Name?

You will all do some research on your name. What is it's etymology? Why did your parents give it to you? Did you ever want a different name? And, finally how does your name define who you are?

Describe the journey....

Discuss your classroom myth book so far (Odysseus, Theseus, or Hercules). Each "Hero" is on a journey of his own. In one paragraph, please summarize the journey so far. Begin by briefly describing your Hero, then give the summary of the story with some specific references from the story to help discuss his journey.
Some things to think about and include in your writing:

• Begin by introducing your character
• Does this Hero have a "quest"? Is he trying to reach a goal?
• What obstacles has he encountered so far on this journey?
